Terms of Service

By accessing or using MuseDrop (the "Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, you must not use our services. These Terms constitute a binding legal agreement between you and MuseDrop ("we", "us").

We believe in artist empowerment. Here is how ownership works on MuseDrop:

• Your Lyrics: You retain 100% ownership and copyright of any original lyrics you write and upload to the Platform.
• AI-Generated Audio: Ownership of audio generated via our AI tools is subject to the terms of the underlying AI provider (e.g., Suno) and your subscription tier. Generally, paid tiers grant ownership to the creator, while free tiers may retain ownership with the provider. You are responsible for understanding these rights.
• Platform License: By posting content, you grant MuseDrop a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, play, and distribute your content solely for the purpose of operating the Platform and facilitating the "Adopt & Release" program.

MuseDrop enables a unique "Adopt & Release" model where artists can "adopt" demos created by other users:

• Adoption Process: Verified artists may apply to adopt a track. If an adoption is approved by MuseDrop and the Creator, a separate Adoption Agreement is triggered.
• Rights Transfer: Upon adoption, the Creator agrees to transfer specific rights (e.g., exclusive recording rights) to the Adopting Artist in exchange for royalties or a fee, as defined in the specific agreement.
• Royalties: Unless otherwise agreed, standard terms involve a royalty split (e.g., 50/50 net receipts) between the Lyricist/Creator and the Adopting Artist, with MuseDrop retaining a small commission (e.g., 5%) for facilitating the connection.

The Platform utilizes Artificial Intelligence (AI) to generate audio. By using these features, you acknowledge:
• Unpredictability: AI may produce unexpected results, errors, or "hallucinations".
• No Guarantee: We do not guarantee that AI output will be unique, non-infringing, or suitable for your specific needs.
• Liability: You use AI tools at your own risk. MuseDrop is not liable for any claims arising from the similarity of AI-generated content to existing copyrighted works.

To ensure a safe environment for all creators, we enforce a strict Zero Tolerance Policy for objectionable content. You agree NOT to post:

• Hate speech, harassment, bullying, or threats of violence.
• Content that is sexually explicit, pornographic, or promotes illegal acts.
• Content that infringes on the intellectual property of others (e.g., uploading copyrighted lyrics you didn't write).

Enforcement: MuseDrop reserves the right to remove any content and ban any user found violating these policies immediately and without prior notice. We provide in-app tools for users to report objectionable content, which we review within 24 hours.

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice or liability, if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform will immediately cease. You may also delete your own account at any time via the Settings menu.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MuseDrop shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Platform or any AI-generated content. The Platform is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated to you. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
