MuseDrop ("we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy. This policy describes how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use our app (iOS), our website (musedrop.app), and related services. It is intended to meet the requirements of the Apple App Store Review Guidelines and applicable law (including GDPR and CCPA where applicable).

We collect the following types of data to provide our service:

• User Content: Text (lyrics), audio (recordings), images (cover art), and comments you actively create or upload.
• Account Information: Email, username, display name, profile image, and password (encrypted).
• Usage Data: Interactions with the app (plays, likes, skips, navigation paths) to improve features and personalization.
• Technical Data: Device model, OS version, IP address, and crash logs necessary for stability and diagnostics.
• Transactional Data: If you participate in "Adopt & Release", we process payout details, agreements, and royalty-related information.

We use your data to:
• Provide and operate the MuseDrop platform.
• Facilitate the "Adopt & Release" copyright transfer process.
• Generate AI music based on your lyrics (via third-party providers like Suno, with your consent).
• Moderate content to ensure community safety.
• Analyze usage to improve app performance and user experience.

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with essential service providers (hosting, AI generation, analytics) under strict confidentiality agreements.

You have the right to delete your account and all associated data at any time. This action is permanent and cannot be undone. To request deletion:

• In App: Go to Settings → Account → Delete Account.
• On Web: Visit musedrop.app/delete-account, sign in, and confirm deletion.

Upon request, we will delete your personal information, profile, and private data within 30 days. Some data (e.g., transaction records for tax purposes or content that has been "Adopted" and released with shared rights) may be retained where legally required or contractually bound.

We retain your personal data only as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with our services. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymise your data, subject to the exceptions noted above for legal obligations.

We implement industry-standard security measures (encryption, secure access controls) to protect your data. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

MuseDrop is not intended for children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your region). We do not knowingly collect data from children. If we discover such data has been collected, we will delete it immediately.

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Material changes will be notified via the app or email. Continued use of the service after changes implies acceptance.
